Waterloo Civil and Public Domain Project

Fresh Landscapes worked with a tier one builder to coordinate a landscape & civil package that consisted of the construction of public path ways, thread lane construction, hard landscapes and soft landscapes.

The large high-rise apartment blocks consisted of 80 units and local retail spaces which are surround by a 1,200m2 of natural stone paving that fresh supplied and installed in-house.

Fresh was responsible for all civil works on Thread Lane which included, new kerbing, installation of all sub grade, Geotech reporting, all AC treatment, concrete black oxide, cove finish driveways, line marking, engineered dish drains, and the construction of Thread Lane car park.

The construction of Sam Sing Public foot paths was carried out, while working with Sydney city council on all requirements and the road opening permits.

The garden beds on multiple levels included mass planting and irrigation and lead to the roof top garden which included 300m2 of hard wood decking to supply the occupants a communal area overlooking the city. Using Fresh’s experience and knowledge in water features we constructed a statement piece on the roof top. The water feature was a mix of timber, stone and unseen hydraulics and was constructed to the highest standard which fresh demands.

While the hard and soft landscaping was constructed over three tower roof tops, the developer was aiming to create great communal areas for the owners/tenants. Included in Fresh landscapes scope works is, artificial turf and kids play area, communal BBQ areas, water feature, complete out door gym, communal sitting areas with custom furniture, all soft landscaping including design and construction of the irrigation system.

Fresh worked with our client to deliver all the works within an extremely tight 8-week program without sacrificing the quality of any works. Fresh landscapes were the only tenderer that were able to commit to the construction programme and we delivered on what we promised with a very success product.
